Medicinal Massage Treatment

Your first massage therapy treatment will include a consultation to identify your needs, expectations and wishes. We will offer you a combination treatment including elements of various massage therapies and techniques, taking these needs, requirements and expectations into account.

Our massages may include, to the extent required, the elements of:

- deep pressure massage;

- abdominal and colon massage;

- manual lymphatic drainage massage;

- hot stone massage;

- visceral manipulation;

- traction and stretching;

- vibration therapy;

- ear candling;

- aromatherapy;

- focus on problem areas.

Please note that, just like all bodywork treatments, massages are effective when taken on a regular basis. You can purchase a course of six Wellbeing Now medicinal massages for £400 (a saving of £80 compared with single treatments) to be used monthly for best effect.

Therapeutic full body massage (Swedish): recommended as a general maintenance treatment on a regular basis. Massage Therapy helps relaxation, releasing stress and tension in our bodies. Massage “is the loving touch of the heart expressed through the hands”.

Deep pressure massage: Strong full body massage with deep pressure work on problem areas. Ultrasound or heat rub may be used if required.

Manual lymphatic drainage massage: A very relaxing massage specifically designed to boost your lymphatic circulation and speed up removal of toxic wastes, cell renewal and help with water retention management.

Hot stone massage:  A deeply relaxing holistic treatment using the combination of warm oil and Mexican hot lava stones to de-stress and work on pressure points, skin, joints and muscles in order to deeply relax and condition the body and mind.

Hopi ear candles are incredibly relaxing: they may also help improve your hearing! The candle treatment takes 25 to 30 minutes, and the second half of the treatment will help relieve your stress with a relaxing and calming therapeutic massage.

Abdominal massage can stimulate digestion, help with bowel movements reduce gas and increase the absorbtion of nutrients in the digestive tract. Specialist massage oils, candles and steam may be used during the treatment to enhance its effect.

Nutritional Consultation (full)

We help you to achieve your full potential, by designing a progressive nutritional programme that takes into consideration what you want and what we feel you actually need.  We focus on understanding and treating the underlying issues that are causing your symptoms.

The initial consultation normally lasts for 70 minutes.  In this session we explore your past and present health, family history, food and fluid intake, medication, and physical activity.  This is the most important part of the process as it allows us to effectively recommend you the best treatment, giving you the greatest chance of long lasting success.  During this treatment we work through our recommendations with you and support you in incorporating them into your life.

In subsequent consultations we review your progress, make amendments to your treatment and set future goals.
