Steve Imrie

Steve Imrie photoSteve was born in Edinburgh. He went to George Heriot’s school, where he got the bug for theatre production from his English teacher. By the time he finished school he was already working as a lighting technician and designer for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

After going to engineering college Steve returned to working in professional theatre mainly in his home town, but also in other Scottish venues and on tours. Having never settled into a daytime job, Steve soon became chief electrician of Edinburgh Playhouse, one of Europe’s top Rock-n-Roll and theatre touring venues, where he met Galina in 1991. Galina was, at the time, in charge of Language Support for the Edinburgh Festival.

They both moved to England where Steve continued working as a technical manager for one of London's theatres.

After taking time out to go with Galina on a foreign posting, Steve decided to change direction and developed a very successful business working as a maintenance engineer.

In 2002, when Steve and Galina bought the the shell of “Wellbeing Now”, Steve single-handedly managed the completely re-build the place.

Steve has stayed in the business ever since, managing the Wellbeing Now practice, the Chi Centre and Aqua-Clinic Ltd.

Having been around colon therapy practitioners for so many years, Steve has now designed and trademarked Aqua-Clinic, a new colon hydrotherapy instrument.
